Through this program, you will be taught the foundations of collecting, extracting and interpreting data obtained on the consumption of media, such as viewership ratings or audience profile and demographics for certain television programs, web podcasts or social media platforms. Using the appropriate tools and methods, you will also learn how to analyse such data in order to gain an insight into consumer behaviours, trends and responses towards media or marketing content, as well as to identify areas of weakness or potential for competition.
By the end of this program, you should be equipped with the basic technical skills needed to collate and process data, identify and prepare graphical representations of any patterns arising, and prepare a report presenting the analysis and findings from the data in a structured manner.
This program is intended for those in the general public (and particularly, from the media, advertising or public sectors) who wish to gain an understanding on how consumers respond to marketing or communications on various media platform. .
